The WGAB conference in Hürth and Düsseldorf from 26 to 28 September revolved around the dual transformation in organizations, which refers to the simultaneous and interrelated digitalization and sustainable development in organizations. The exchange on this topic was conducted in numerous member and employee presentations, which were embedded in a varied supporting program. The Chair of Work, Human Resources and Leadership was represented three times. As President of the WGAB, Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens was actively involved in the entire conference and was honored for her two-year presidency on the last day of the conference. The chair was also represented with two presentations. Dr. Saskia Hohagen presented a joint paper with Niklas Obermann and Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens entitled: “Transforming under pressure – An analysis of coping strategies along the value chain in agriculture”. Dr. Valentin Langholf presented a joint paper with Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens, Daniel Lupp and Niklas Obermann entitled “Organizational pathways to responsible use of AI at work – An organizational change perspective”. It was a special honor that this presentation was chosen as the best employee presentation and could therefore be presented and discussed once again in front of all members of the WGAB at the end of the conference. We look back on an eventful and stimulating conference and are already looking forward to the next WGAB conference in Hamburg in 2025.
