On 7 June, Dr. Saskia Hohagen and Niklas Obermann took part in the field day at Langsenkamp Farm in Belm. This time, the theme of the field day of the Agro-Nordwest experimental field was “Arable farming of the future with tractors, drones and robots – an opportunity for more diversity?” At the beginning, there were impulses on current field trials, economic considerations of spotspraying and hoeing and the education and training of farmers. This was followed by a field demonstration in which the participants gained an insight into the possible uses of drones, robots and manually controlled tractors, using the example of weed control in maize. The content-related impulses and the impressions of the field demonstration ensured a lively exchange among the participants at the end of the field day.
