As part of the practical week of the module “Human Resource Management”, students of the IAW had the opportunity to get to know the company MotionMiners GmbH, which is on its way to scale-up. Contact with the company was established through Rebekka Bracht from Initiativkreis Ruhr GmbH.
Under the supervision of Dr. Saskia Hohagen, Dr. Jule Elena Westerheide and Martin Lenzner, the students dealt with the question of how a uniform wage structure can be developed for the company, which is currently growing. Based on qualitative interviews with parts of the management, individual team leads and employees, the students developed a concept for a salary structure and also linked this with impulses on how career paths can be expanded and designed under the conditions of a growing workforce and increasingly differentiated areas of responsibility. The results were presented at the end of the practical week and were very well received by the present company representatives.
We would like to thank Rebekka Bracht, MotionMiners GmbH and the students for the good collaboration and look forward to further opportunities for cooperation.
