Spring in February – what a HUMAINE spring fair 2026. What an exhibition route for the future. WORK IN THE POT. We not only look back on five years of interdisciplinary project work, but also forward to what the future holds for the HUMAINE competence center.
For the fifth time, we invited guests to experience the latest solutions for the human-centric integration of AI into operational work processes in industry and medicine – and over 200 guests attended. The WDR reported in the local time Ruhr from 26.02.2026 (excerpt from 07:57 – link). In his welcome message, State Secretary Matthias Hauer from the BMFTR thanked us for our successful project work and made it clear that occupational research will continue to play an important role in the federal government’s high-tech agenda in the future. The Rector of Ruhr-Universität, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Martin Paul, sees our approach as an important impetus for the excellence strategy in the UA Ruhr, the Lord Mayor of the City of Bochum, Jörg Lukat, recognizes our contribution to the urban society, the cooperation with the Ruhr Regional Association gives us the backing for the exhibition concept of the route “Zukunft. ARBEIT IM POTT” and the artist Emil Schult crowns this with his signature. The RUB Makerspace under the direction of Florian Welsandt is the ideal place for new discoveries. The opened exhibition looks fresh and young – just like the target group that is to be reached. School classes, students and ultimately all sections of the population are welcome to experience the exhibition and have their say. In the spirit of the artist Emil Schult, “Update the Future” – we are ready.
The most important thing: HUMAINE is permanent and the HUMAINE Network e.V. will continue to organize the spring exhibitions in the future. This year’s HUMAINE Award went to the companies Eickhoff (Transformation category) and MotionMiners GmbH (Innovation category). Congratulations to all of us.
