Together with the Bochum-based advertising agency BECKDESIGN, Dr. Saskia Hohagen and Niklas Obermann made their way to Bakum on 22.09.2023. The reason for this was a video shoot as part of the Agro-Nordwest experimental field. Once on site at the farm, the farmer himself stood in front of the camera this time. In an interview format, the focus was on various topics such as farm management, the challenges facing farms in connection with the recent crises and the strategic measures being taken to prepare for future crises. With a lot of film material in their luggage, they returned to Bochum. In the end, another video will be produced for Landlabor 4.1. Landlabor 4.1 is an e-learning module that provides students with a holistic insight into the management of an agricultural business in 7 interactive learning units on topics such as digital transformation or strategic corporate management and combines this with practical impressions.
Take Two 🎥
Almost four weeks later, on October 23, 2023, the two researchers headed in a similar direction to the Langsenkamp farm in Belm. This time, however, not only the farmer himself was in front of the camera, but also the researchers from Bochum, among others. Moderated by the explainer farmer Annika Ahlers, a video was filmed on the topic of “The use of autonomous robot technology in agriculture”. In several small excerpts, social science, legal, economic and labor science aspects are highlighted. This composition, also referred to as accompanying research in the Agro-Nordwest experimental field, takes an interdisciplinary look at the digitalization of agriculture and thus makes it possible to take a holistic view of the use and application of digital technologies.
