On November 13, 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Gerhard Fischer to O-Werk as part of a research seminar. He is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Computer Science in Boulder and came all this way to give scientists interested in the subject the opportunity to engage in a dialog on various topics relating to the use of AI and, at the same time, to be able to classify facts again and again on the basis of available data.
The basic question was to what extent AI design spaces can cover the area between “AI and Humans” and “AI versus Humans”, especially against the background of Adaptive and Adaptable Systems.
Lively discussions arose on questions about the appropriateness of using AI in areas such as public transportation or even sporting events. The seminar invited participants to exchange opinions and thus strengthened awareness of and the need for constant evaluation of the various interests and requirements that come together in discussions about the use of AI.
