This year’s practical week on personnel management and management development took place in cooperation with the Ruhr Regional Association (RVR). The students visited the Ruhr Parliament in Essen (see photo) and conducted expert interviews with managers. In their elaboration, they developed proposals for the further development of the RVR’s management model and management development. These were presented to an interested group of operational decision-makers for discussion and provided with well-founded considerations for further implementation. A lively and interested discussion immediately developed among the RVR managers regarding the next development steps. The students were valued as experts at eye level. Prof. Uta Wilkens, who was responsible for the module, sums up: “Everything was perfect. A highly committed and well-prepared practice partner met a group of equally committed students who contributed to the exemplary result. This is how the practical week works at its best”.
