Immanuel Lutzeyer and Daniel Lupp have successfully completed the higher education didactics qualification program “Professional Teaching Competence for the University” at the Center for Science Didactics (ZfW) at Ruhr University Bochum. The certified program comprises 200 work units divided into basic, advanced and in-depth modules and combines sound didactic knowledge with practical teaching development. The focus is not only on teaching central teaching methods, but also on the further development of one’s own teaching attitude as well as the reflection and optimization of specific teaching formats.

 

As a final proof of achievement within the program, Immanuel and Daniel developed the teaching-learning project “Learning through research in personnel and leadership research: A competence-oriented teaching-learning project on scientific work with empirical data evaluation”, which teaches students application-oriented scientific work with empirical data evaluation at a practical company. The focus is on active knowledge construction, research-related forms of work and the promotion of methodological and critical reflection skills. The project was recently included in the Ruhr University Bochum’s teaching sample database and resulted in a joint publication with the aim of providing inspiration for other teachers.

 

The successful completion of the program underlines the Chair’s commitment to high-quality, research-oriented and future-oriented university teaching. The university didactics skills acquired are directly incorporated into the further development of our courses – to promote academic success, scientific curiosity and the professional skills of our students.
