The Chair of Work, Human Resources and Leadership is delighted that Immanuel Lutzeyer has been nominated for the NRW 2025 State Teaching Award in the special category “Teaching of Young Scientists” by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia honors outstanding teaching achievements and innovative didactic concepts at universities with the prize, which is endowed with a total of €250,000.

The nomination was made in recognition of Immanuel Lutzeyer’s commitment to student-centered teaching that combines practical skills development with the latest scientific findings. His interactive teaching formats and the systematic promotion of reflection and problem-solving skills – including the integration of the chair’s simulation labs (escape rooms) – were particularly highlighted

The NRW 2025 State Teaching Award was presented on December 11, 2025 and is awarded annually to teachers who provide special impetus in university teaching. Even though the prize went to other lecturers this year, the Chair is very pleased about the nomination, which underlines the high quality and innovative strength of our teaching. We would like to congratulate all of this year’s award winners.
