On September 12, 2025, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs NRW (MAGS) hosted an expert dialogue on the topic of “AI in the world of work”. At the invitation of State Secretary Mathias Heidmeier, experts from various fields discussed the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) in the world of work in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens from the HUMAINE competence center also made a contribution. She presented approaches to developing AI expertise and designing human-centered, AI-based work systems in the fields of industry, medicine and care. Her remarks underlined the importance of well thought-out integration of AI in order to make optimum use of the technology while taking the needs of employees into account.
