From 22 to 25 June 2025, a joint paper by Daniel Lupp, Niklas Obermann and Uta Wilkens was presented at the EURAM conference in Florence: “AI governance in DAX40: A typology of organizational guidelines for self-regulation ” 🧠📊

The focus was on the question of how large companies in Germany accompany the use of artificial intelligence with the use of AI guidelines. The paper presents a typology of different approaches that classify the use of guidelines along socio-technical criteria of a human-centered use of AI.

The presentation took place as part of the “AI, Big Data, Algorithmic Management and Emerging Tech in Human Resources Management, Employment Relations and Organizational Behaviour” track and thus tied in with the overarching conference theme of “Managing with Purpose”. 🎯Inspired by critical questions, valuable tips and interdisciplinary perspectives from research and practice, numerous suggestions were made for the further development of the paper. 💬✨

The conference was held at the University of Florence, School of Economics and Management – and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. An ideal setting for intensive academic dialog in a historically and culturally impressive city. 📚
