On March 4, 2020, the global network for reliable and context-sensitive use of AI in work processes (NET-hUmAIN) started its project work as part of the funding provided by the World Universities Network (WUN). The partner network is working on an assessment scheme for the responsible use of AI in work processes and is also involved in numerous network-building activities in teaching and research. In the initial planning meeting, the course was set for successful cooperation by planning the joint approach and clarifying the corresponding responsibilities. The global partner structure across five continents made it necessary to divide the meeting into two time slots so that the meeting did not take place in the middle of the night for any of the partners. The participation of all partners in the meeting and the lively discussions gave rise to a sense of shared optimism. NET-hUmAIN will come together for the monthly Mealtime Lectures at the end of March. Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens (project management) and Dr. Valentin Langholf (project coordination) are looking forward to an insightful and lively collaboration.
