On October 10, 2023, episode 9 of Season 4 of the HRD Masterclass Podcast will be released.<\/p>\n

The Human Resource Development Masterclass Podcast is a series outlining the foundations of HRD and how it will change in the 2020s.
The latest episode will feature 3 guests, namely Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens, Prof. Dr. Maria Jos\u00e9 Sousa and Prof. Dr. Alexandre Ardichivili. Together they will talk about the topic “HRD & Artificial Intelligence”.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Alexandre Ardichivili is Professor of HRD in the Endowed Chair of Leadership and Adult Career Development at the University of Minnesota. He has received several awards for his outstanding research and has published many seminal books and articles on HRD.
Prof. Dr. Maria Jos\u00e9 Sousa is pro-rector for the development of “Distance Learning” and professor and researcher at the University of Lisbon. She has published more than 100 scientific articles and book chapters. She has also been President of the ISO Technical Committee 260 on Human Resource Management and has represented Portugal within the International Organization for Standardization.
Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens is Professor and Chair of Work, Human Resources and Leadership at the Ruhr University in Bochum. Her core research interest consists of the interaction between the individual and the organization, especially with the implementation of technological innovations. Since 2021, she has been spokesperson for the HUMAINE competence center and most recently joined the Acatech expert group on “Learning Systems”.<\/p>\n

The topic covered in this podcast is the interplay of the AI and HRD disciplines. To begin with, the term “Artificial Intelligence” or “Artificial Intelligence” is explained, as well as why AI is currently the subject of so much discussion in the global media and research trends. It then discusses the extent to which AI will change the organization in companies and what change this will bring about for individual employees.
