On September 29, Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens took part in the annual event of the Council for Economic and Social Affairs at the diocesan academy “Die Wolfsburg” in M\u00fclheim. Together with Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck, Prof. Christoph M. Schmidt and other experts from the fields of medicine, science and business, she discussed the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence and the central question of how far machines should be allowed to take over decisions.<\/p>\n

In the panel discussion, Prof. Wilkens emphasized that the successful integration of AI in companies depends largely on change management and a conscious approach to new role models. People must always retain responsibility and actively shape the “rhythm” of the technological transformation.<\/p>\n

The event made it clear that artificial intelligence offers great potential for business, medicine and society, but requires clear ethical guidelines and a conscious combination of technological progress and social responsibility.<\/p>\n
